Carlette C. Smith, RN, NHA, MA, BSN, BA, founded Human Resource Options, LLC (HRO) in January 2003 with a clear mission: to provide educational opportunities that enhance the knowledge of healthcare professionals and the broader community. With over 40 years of experience in healthcare leadership roles, including Nurse Manager, Assistant Director of Nursing, and Nursing Home Administrator, Carlette brings a wealth of expertise to HRO.

Through HRO, Carlette organizes educational seminars and workshops featuring lectures, discussions, handouts, PowerPoint presentations, and videos, ensuring participants receive a comprehensive learning experience. Collaborating with experts in various fields, Carlette ensures that HRO's classes cover the latest trends and data in healthcare.

Carlette holds credentials from the Alabama Board of Nursing and the Alabama Board of Social Workers, along with recognition from Toastmasters International as a Competent Communicator (CC) and Competent Leader (CL). She also maintains prior approvals for specific classes from regulatory bodies such as the National Board of Certified Counselors and the Sheriff’s Department of Jefferson County. Carlette is a member of the National Black Nurses Association (NBNA), Birmingham Black Nurses Association (BBNA), Medical Society Service Organization (MSSO), and National Coalition of Negro Women Lifetime Member(NCNW) - charter member of Birmingham Chapter. Carlette's dedication to advancing healthcare education continues to make a meaningful impact on professionals and communities alike.
